Following Ari Rosenfield’s graduation with a B.S. in Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas at Austin, he moved to Boston and founded Beat Train Productions. Ari has gained an outstanding reputation with his DJ residencies, frequent club appearances, as well as through his work as a mobile DJ.

Ari currently holds a DJ residency at Zuzu in Cambridge for “Mambo Beat Club,” his weekly dance party where he spins an eclectic mix of retro latin, jazz, rock n roll, soul, funk and pop nuggets from the 1950’s to 1960’s (you can see a few pictures from Mambo Beat Club at The Beat Train Productions Blog. Previously, before shifting his focus to mobile DJ gigs, Ari has held various club residencies playing everything from old school hip hop to glam rock to eighties to disco to pop. As a result of all these gigs, Ari has become known for his versatility and skill as a DJ.

As a mobile DJ, Ari is able to offer a proven track record, flexibility, versatility and dependability. Ari is happy to accommodate whatever type of music you’re looking for at your event, whether it’s traditional, contemporary, retro, classic, or cutting edge (or whatever else!). Ari only uses state of the art equipment (and back-up equipment) and is fully insured. As an emcee, Ari keeps it simple by clearly and articulately making all essential announcements, and letting the music speak for itself from there.

Ari realizes that being a skilled DJ does not count for much without having excellent communication and people skills. When Ari is hired as a DJ for your event, his responsibilities go far beyond simply playing music and emcee’ing the event. For Ari, Beat Train Productions hasn’t succeeded unless we’ve gone the extra mile in helping you to successfully produce your event. Whether that means helping you plan your event, working as a team with other event venders, or being flexible to last minute changes- our job isn’t done until we’ve gone above and beyond your expectations.

Wayne Baptiste

Wayne Baptiste, brings an unrivaled level of sophistication and style; and over twenty years of disc jockey experience with him to Beat Train Productions. Wayne has gained a very unique perspective over the years, between his time studying economics at the University of Maryland, to his years serving in the United States Air Force, to his years living and DJ’ing in Europe. Wayne has been living in Northampton, Massachusetts for the last several years, and has since gained a great reputation in the area at his frequent DJ appearances at the Basement Lounge (Northampton) and at Mambo Beat Club (at Zuzu in Cambridge). Between his gigs in Massachusetts, Wayne frequently travels all around the United States and Europe to do DJ dates. Most recently he’s DJ’d in Los Angeles and Norway, where he was invited to spin from his eclectic collection of soul, funk, ska, dancefloor jazz, and latin records. As a DJ, in addition to his reputation for an in-depth knowledge of soul and funk, Wayne has very diverse taste and knowledge in music. Besides soul, jazz, and funk records that he’s made a name of himself with, Wayne gets just as much enjoyment out of spinning rock n roll, 80’s, hip hop, pop, reggae, or whatever else you’d like for your event. DJ Wayne’s experience, discipline, and work ethic; combined with his style, personality, and talent make him an ideal DJ for your event.

Pete "DJ ESQ" O'Karma

Peter O'Karma (a.k.a. DJ ESQ) holds the distinction of being the second best basketball player out of all five Beat Train Productions DJs. Additionally, he happens to be a skilled DJ with 8+ years experience, a zen master of the mashup, a certified pop and hip hop junkie, an accredited lawyer, and an all around nice guy.

As a DJ, Pete has been DJ'ing since his undergraduate days at Northeastern, through his law school years at Suffolk University, and continues today, after his accreditation in the Massachusetts State Bar. In the clubs, Pete has gigged out at dozens of spots around the Boston area and beyond, including An Tua Nua, Venu, Sanctuary, Tonic, Mantra and The Vault. In addition to his club gigs, Pete has been active as a mobile disc jockey for years, DJ'ing at countless weddings, corporate events, and other private functions. And in the studio, Pete is always working on producing new remixes, mash-ups, and party blends, destined to light up dance floors all around New England and beyond.

In his free time, Pete enjoys hanging out with his lovely girl friend (sorry ladies), working on his battle turntablism skills, volunteering his time teaching middle school kids how to DJ, as well as fine tuning his dribbling, passing, and free throws in the hopes of some day surpassing Ari's dazzling basketball skills.

Ben Woods

Ben Woods is a professional DJ and music producer who's gained a great deal of attention around Boston for his style and ingenuity as a DJ. And unlike many seasoned DJ's from the club scene, Ben has an exceptional work ethic, and is an all around down to earth, friendly guy.

While completing his Media Studies degree at Northeastern, Ben Woods, along with his partner in crime, Sam Bogart, founded the Flavorheard DJ crew. Ever since, they've been relentlessly spreading their distinct, eclectic style of everything goes DJ'ing across Boston, Cambridge & beyond. Their history goes back much further though, as they have both been tirelessly exploring music since their childhoods. This lifelong relationship with music is what allows them to weave together classic & new music of all genres into a seamless listening/dancing experience. As a result, their skills have been in high demand in the hippest clubs in Boston, including residencies at Middlesex Lounge, Zuzu, The Enormous Room, and the Good Life. Through their mixtapes, remixes, and original productions, they've attracted a modest (but rabid) international following, and their latest vinyl release has moved units across the US, Europe, and Asia. The duo has a wide range of influences & favorites-everything from Afro-beat, Motown classics, Latin Soul, Jazz, Blues, and Funk, to Hip Hop, Reggae, Disco, Rock & beyond. Ben Woods (along with his frequent collaborator Sam Bogart) know how important a great selection of music is to the success of a party, be it for a cool background vibe or the fuel for an all out dance party.

Seth Isaacs

Ever since buying his first set of turntables on eBay in 1997, Seth Isaacs has been a consistent Boston talent, DJ’ing corporate functions, weddings, and nightclub events. Starting his career as an on-air DJ at his college radio station (where he was crowned "Shorty Gold"), he has translated his interest in music first into a B.A. in English/Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Media and more recently an M.A. in Visual & Media Arts from Emerson College. His resume of Boston-area venues include Venu, Rumor, Revolution Rock Bar, Whiskey Park, and Mantra and he has performed at private events for BMW, Scion, Karmaloop, the Boston Police Department, and more. This go-to DJ is also an in-store DJ for Puma, Macy’s, Ann Taylor, and Metropark. With a musical taste that spans every genre of music including Funk, House, Hip Hop, 80’s, and 90’s, and Top 40, Seth can adapt to any crowd at any event. From sophisticated private functions to fun and funky weddings to the bottle service boutique clubs of Boston, Seth Isaacs has been wowing crowds and packing dance floors for more than 12 years. His skills on the turntables and passion for music are surpassed only by his professional demeanor and commitment to his clients.
